For braking we use cast Duralcan, hub mounted, brake rotors. In order to improve brake feel, we designed a pedal assembly with very high stiffness. By getting rid of many fasteners (and thus some play), using a tapered box-section steel structure for the brake pedal, and triangulating the master cylinder mounts, we managed to reduce overall compliance in the brake pedal.

The gear shifter and clutch pedal are mounted behind the steering wheel.
